What Barry says
In a 1988 radio interview Barry names a tap dancer called Lon Chaney who would come into the Jazz Cultural Theater all the time to dance, along with Jimmy Slyde and the teacher Tina Pratt, so the club had a lot of dancing.

He says this while regretting that the club’s tap dancing never got off the ground and that jazz has been cut off from dancing, which it always went with; he puts dancers on his big concerts to show that people dance to jazz.
In a 1998 interview with Constance Valis Hill, known here only through a Portuguese podcast’s reading in translation, Barry lists Chaney with Jimmy Slyde, Chuck Green and Brenda Bufalino among the many tap dancers who danced at his own place, which he says was the only one he knew of that did this.

In his own words
Plus a tap dancer called Lon Chaney. He would come in all the time and tap dance, you know, so we had a lot of dancing.
