What Barry says
In a 1988 radio interview, as the host introduces Barry’s Monk tracks from the Columbia compilation I Remember Bebop, the pianists on the record are listed, Hakim among them (old captions ‘DeHakee’, newer transcript ‘Sadiq Hakeem’). The transcripts run Barry’s voice and the host’s together, so it is not clear who names him.

In the interviews and notes
Drawing on Robin D.G. Kelley’s Monk biography, Cleary notes that Eronel, normally credited to Monk, is Lenore spelt backwards, the name of a former girlfriend of Hakim. By Kelley’s account Hakim wrote the melody with Idrees Sulieman, and Monk added some of his own touches afterwards.
